There is an overarching mystery in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. And this secret is so exciting that you should definitely take a closer look at it. It will definitely be worth it!
In this guide we will talk about Johnny’s Treasure Chest. I’ll tell you how to find all 88x exhibits so that you can complete Johnny’s collection and get to his treasure chest.
What is Johnny’s collection in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
If you don’t know what Johnny and his collection are all about, here’s the short version. If you help Johnny restore the hotel in Costa del Sol, he’ll have something of a re-opening.
And this is where things get exciting, because your treasures will serve as exhibits for the hotel owner. The good Cloud agrees and we provide Johnny with certain collectibles in his new hotel, where everyone can marvel at them.
Johnny’s collection includes a massive 88x rarities that we can all get our hands on!
As a thank you for completing this side story, we get access to Johnny’s treasure chest. And this treasure is a real mystery. What’s in Johnny’s treasure chest? There is a little surprise hidden here.
Here’s how to get access to Johnny’s collection!
However, in order to be able to unlock access to Johnny’s collection, a lot of preparatory work is required. We have prepared exact instructions for you on PlayCentral.de on how you should proceed in order to complete the task: Reaching for seven stars.
First of all, you have to help the many Johnnys renovate the hotel. You can find the zip lines with the renovation materials here.
And then you have to make a boiler valve to help the Johnnys out of trouble before you go looking for the Tonberry King. In these instructions you will find out everything about the further course of the order.
Once you have done all of this and completely completed the task: Reaching for seven stars, the hotel will be reopened and the search for the exhibits can begin.
Where can I find all the rarities for Johnny’s collection?
And now comes the question of questions: Where are all 88x exhibits hidden in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth? You will receive some of the exhibits quite early in the game, while others will only be available in the late game. These are awards such as trophies that you receive in mini-games or for special events in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
This means that we can only open Johnny’s treasure and get the summoner materia very late. But that’s no surprise. The reward from Johnny’s treasure is the largest collectible item in the entire game, as you have to find 88 unique items – and some of them are very well hidden.
The big search can begin! If you are currently looking for the key items, I will include a table with all 88x exhibits here. Take a look at the table and see which rarities you are still missing.
Important note: Click on the following links to get more information and a full guide to the task.

Keep in mind that you cannot earn all trophies in one run. After completing the game, simply travel to the respective region again and try to get the Platin Trophy.
You can travel back to all regions later in the game (from Cosmo Canyon onwards) and unlock some of the trophies later. This works, for example, in Costa del Sol with the side tasks such as the pirate party. And after Gold Saucer you will come back later from Chapter 11. So don’t worry!
The smartest and fastest thing, however, is to always complete the respective mini-games to 100% in order to bag every trophy immediately.
What’s hiding in Johnny’s Box?
If you’re now wondering what’s hiding in Johnny’s box, you might want to lower your expectations a bit. Personally, I was at least a little disappointed. It’s just a few notes for the piano. You can play Sephiroth’s theme song “One-Winged Angel” on the piano with them.
