GTA 5

What is GTA 5? Grand Theft Auto 5 is an open-world title and the latest spin-off from Scottish developer studio Rockstar North. The game was first released on September 17, 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, followed by a version for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2014. PC gamers finally received a corresponding version on April 14, 2015.

GTA 5 is set in the fictional US state of San Andreas and has the largest and most detailed game world of any Rockstar game released to date. It is even bigger than GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption and GTA: San Andreas combined. The entire game world can be fully explored right from the start.

The only major city is Los Santos, which is based on Los Angeles. There are also a few small towns, especially in the rural Blain County. There are deserts, coasts, mountain landscapes, forests, lakes, rivers and the ocean, which has an explorable underwater world. The game world also offers a wide variety of flora and fauna. GTA 5 has sold around 150 million copies as of August 2021.

GTA 5 contains GTA Online

What is GTA Online? GTA 5 also has an online mode called GTA Online, which is only available with the main game. GTA Online has a loose storyline that is set before the main game. An editor allows you to create your own character at the start.

The entire game world of GTA 5 is also available in GTA Online without any restrictions. There are various areas across the entire map where you can start different modes. To date, GTA Online has been supported by Rockstar Games and expanded with new content such as the recently released Casino Heist.
