Hogwarts Legacy is a complete success and the topic is far from over. If you thought there was nothing new coming, you’re wrong! The development studio Avalanche Software has now officially confirmed that they are working on completely new content for Hogwarts Legacy that goes beyond the confirmed DLC.
In the same breath, they have once again stated that they will soon be releasing the much-loved PlayStation DLC for all platforms! There is a reason to celebrate.
The official press release states:
“As we approach the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the PlayStation-exclusive Hogwarts Legacy content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game.”
The action adventure game about the Wizarding World celebrates its first birthday on February 10, 2024. We assume that the PlayStation DLC will be released for all platforms very close to the one-year anniversary. The Sony exclusivity of this premium content lasted a full year.
Hogwarts Legacy lives on in 2024!
Some time ago, those responsible let it slip that they are working on further Wizarding World games. It is assumed that they are already working hard on Hogwarts Legacy 2.
What do we know? One of the confirmed games is a Quidditch spin-off (read more here). This begs the question, how likely is it that Quidditch will be included in the game? This probability is not very high, as they are outsourcing this game feature and turning the sport into a completely separate game.
But it could still be that they connect the games in some way? That would at least be an exciting undertaking.
In any case, Hogwarts Legacy states that Quidditch is “currently not taking place”. So I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that it will stay that way permanently.
Officially confirmed: Avalanche Software, on the other hand, assures us that we will learn more details in the “coming months”.
What do you think will happen with Hogwarts Legacy? Will it be something big? Or can we only look forward to smaller game features? Feel free to write it in the comments below and discuss it with us.
