If you’ve completed your first flying lesson with Madam Kogawa in Hogwarts Legacy, you’re probably already excited about your first broomstick? But it doesn’t come from Madam Kogawa.
The only thing waiting for you for the flying lesson is a smelly school broom. However, there are several brooms in the game, 13 in number, all of which you can unlock. These will then be yours and won’t smell as bad anymore.
But where are the different brooms located? In this solution you will find out where you can find the individual brooms. We’ll tell you exactly where to look.
All brooms in Hogwarts Legacy
The broom collection is divided into two categories. Firstly there are the brooms that you can purchase from dealers and then there are the brooms that are unlocked through challenges.
Brooms number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Hogsmeade
The first broomstick awaits in Hogsmeade. Visit the Spintwitches Sporting Needs and speak to Albie Weekes. Here you buy your very first broom in the game (more on the topic).
And to be more precise, there are five brooms to choose from here. Assuming you can afford five brooms, here are the ones you can choose from:
- Ember Dash Broom: For people with a fiery temperament – 600 gold
- Hogwarts House Broom: This broom celebrates your chosen house at Hogwarts – 600 gold
- Moon Trimmer Broom: The ash broom is extremely sturdy – 600 gold
- Wind Wisp Broom: This stylish broom is easy to use – 600 gold
- Yew Weaver Broom: Comfortable and fast and with a beautiful weave pattern – 600 gold
How can I use the broom? Once you have purchased one, you can equip it in the menu. Then all you have to do is press the L1 + O key combination (on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) to use the broom.
Can I improve a broom?
Yes, the brooms can be improved. To do this you have to complete the side mission Sweeping Away the Competition. Visit Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade at the Spintwitches Sporting Needs store.
The so-called broom improvement costs 1000 gold and provides more acceleration and speed.
To improve the broom even further, you have to complete the following side mission. Meet Imelda south of Hogwarts. Northeast of Irondale. Defeat Imelda and then return to Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade, completing the side mission.
Broom number 6 via challenge
You unlock more brooms when you find so-called balloon sets on the world map and pop them. This unlocks the “Pop Balloons” challenge. To get to broom number 6, you have to find 2 sets of balloons and fly through all the balloons.
You can find the first set of balloons at this location, just south of Lower Hogsfield. The balloons take off shortly before Merlins Trials.
You can find another set of balloons at this point west of Keenbridge. Fly through once and the 6th broomstick is yours!
- Your reward is the Night Dancer Broom
Broom number 7 via challenge
The next broom is also tied to the challenges. This is the Likety Swift Broom, which requires five more burst balloon sets. You can find these at the following locations.
- The first set of balloons is waiting just west of Lower Hogsfield.
- The second set of balloons is hidden just north of the Quidditch pitch.
- The third set of balloons is waiting due north, next to Pitt-Upon-Ford.
- The fourth set of balloons is waiting for you east of the last set of balloons, just east of Pitt-Upon-Ford. The balloons are all a little hidden. But from that point (on the map) you fly south. Then you should discover everyone between the trees.
- The fifth set of balloons is a little easier to find. The balloons are all positioned above Upper Hogsfield.
