In Hogwarts Legacy you can brew potions that pack a punch. A Wiggenweld Potion, an Invisibility Potion or would you prefer a thunder brew that increases your combat power?
In the action RPG that takes us to Hogwarts, we always come to the point where we don’t really know what to do next. The reason for this is actually quite simple: we are missing an ingredient!

Leaping Toadstool Caps
Ingredient for Item: Invisibility Potion Location: If you walk towards Hogsmeade (from Hogwarts) you will find it on the side of the path. Follow the main path. Vendor: Alternatively, you can purchase Leaping Toadstool Caps from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. The mushrooms are available in his shop for 150 gold each.
Leech Juice
- Ingredient for Item: Thunder Brew and Maxima Potion
- Location: Around Hogwarts on the beaches. Search along the coast. The leeches that produce the leech juice can be found south or north of Hogwarts on the coasts (they love water!).
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Leech Juice from J. Pippin in the Potions Shop. His shop sells leech juice for 150 gold each.
Dittany Leaves
- Ingredient for Item: Wiggenweld Potion
- Location: Dittany Leaves are available if you plant Diptam seeds in a small pot. Visit the Room of Requirements and place the corresponding planting table with the pots.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can buy Dittany Leaves in Hogsmeade at the Magic Turnip. The Dittany Leaves cost 100 gold each.
Ashwinder Egg
- Ingredient for Item: Edurus Potion
- Location: Search in the Feldcroft region in the far east. You will find what you are looking for around Feldcroft.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Ashwinder Eggs from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. The eggs are available in his shop for 150 gold each.
Lacewings Flies
- Ingredient for Item: Felix Felicius and Focus Potion
- Location: Lacewings Flies can be found on the way to Hogsmeade. Look approximately north of Hogwarts.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Lacewings Flies from J. Pippin’s potions shop. In his shop you can buy the Lacewings Flies for 100 gold each.
Fluxweed Stem
- Ingredient for Item: Felix Felicius and Focus Potion
- Location: Buy the Fluxweed Stem Seed in The Magic Turnip. The seeds must be transplanted on a planting table with a large pot (in the Room of Requirements).
- Merchant: You can buy Fluxweed Stem in the Magic Turnip plant shop for 150 gold each.
Stench of the Dead
- Item Ingredient: Thunder Brew
- Location: There is a ruin south of the Dark Arts Battle Arena in the Forbidden Forest. In such an Inferi lair, there is a Stench of the Dead if you eliminate the undead.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Stench of the Dead from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. In his shop you can buy the Breath of the Dead for 100 gold each.
Horklump Juice
- Ingredient for Item: Wiggenweld Potion
- Location: You have to search in caves, for example in the Horklump Hollow cave (north of Hogsmeade).
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Horklump Juice from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. In his shop you can get Horklumpjuice for 50 gold each.
Knotgrass Sprig
- Ingredient for Item: Invisibility Potion
- Location: Buy the Knotgrass Sprig Seeds in The Magic Turnip. The seeds must be transplanted on a planting table with a small pot (in the Room of Requirements).
- Trader: In the plant shop The Magic Turnip you can buy Knotgrass Sprig for 150 gold each.
Mallowsweet
- Ingredient for Item: Trials of Merlin
- Location: Buy the Mallowsweet Seeds in The Magic Turnip. The seeds must be transplanted on a planting table with a small pot (in the Room of Requirements).
- Dealer: In the plant shop The Magic Turnip you can buy Mallowsweet for 200 gold each.
Moonstone
- Ingredient for Item: Room of Requirements, for incantations
- Location: Many places on the world map, for example in the Forbidden Forest. If you make things disappear with the Evanesco spell, it will bring back Moonstones.

Shrivelfig Fruit
- Item Ingredient: Thunder Brew
- Location: Buy the Shrivelfig Fruit Seeds in The Magic Turnip. The seeds must be transplanted on a planting table with a medium pot (in the Room of Requirement).
- Dealer: In the plant shop The Magic Beet you can buy Shrivelfig Fruit for 150 gold each.
Spider Fang
- Ingredient for Item: Maxima Potion
- Location: Simply look for spider hiding places on the world map. The Forbidden Forest is ideal, it is full of spiders.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Spider Fang from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. In his shop you can get spider fangs for 50 gold each.
Mongrel Fur
- Ingredient for Item: Edurus Potion
- Location: Anywhere in the Forbidden Forest, east of the first Floo Flame for example near the Dark Arts Battle Arena.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Mongrel Fur from J. Pippin’s potions shop. In his shop you can buy Mongrel Fur for 50 gold each.
Swamp Crawler Tongue
- Ingredient for Item: Focus Potion
- Location: Swamp Crawler Tongue is waiting for you in the Swamp Crawler Burrow. Take out the Swamp Crawlers. Search in Hogwarts Valley.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Swamp Crawler Tongue from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. His shop sells Swampcrawler Tongue for 100 gold each.
Troll Bogeys
- Ingredient for Item: Invisibility Potion
- Location: In the west of the map you will find the Feldcroft region. Here you will meet some trolls who have Troll Bogeys ready for you (pretty tasty). For example, look at a troll hideout.
- Merchant: Alternatively, you can purchase Swamp Crawler Tongue from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. In his shop you can buy Troll Bogeys for 100 gold each.
